Happy Birthday to Samuel Langhorne Clemens, aka Mark Twain. Born November 20th 1835.
I have always been a fan of Twain’s humor. Over the past year in tracing my family history I was able to verify something I long suspected- that Mark Twain was a relative of mine.
What set off this suspicion was the family name of my great grandmother Ocie Clemens.
As it turns out my 6th Great Grandfather was Mark Twain’s Great Grandfather. Making Mark Twain my 2nd cousin 6 times removed! So Happy birthday cousin!
