More Abstract Design Mazes

Once a week or so I will work in an abstract maze. Unlike my other mazes which feature cartoon illustrations, these once are just paths with no characters. However they really give me a chance to explore illusions, shapes, alternate types of mazes and styles. The influence for these are wide and varied with artist like Dali, Seuss, Haring, and even Jack Kirby all inspiring me. My biggest struggle with these is often the color and I do feel many of them look better in black and white, but the color makes them “pop” on the page.  As you can see from looking at most of my work I have a limited pallete that I like to work with but also like to have really strongly almost jarring contrasting colors at times. This is partly to make the maze more difficult and partly because I just don’t understand color that well lol. Enjoy!
