Barron’s Author Joe Wos to Appear at National Book Festival

Hauppauge, NY (August 23, 2017) – Barron’s is thrilled to announce that our author, Joe Wos, will be appearing at the National Book Festival on September 2, 2017, where he will also be celebrating the publication of his latest book, Myths and Monsters.

Joe will be performing at the Library of Congress Town Square at the festival from 11:25–11:45 and from 1:45–2:05. When he’s not performing, he will be at his own booth for the full duration of the day.

Joe, the internationally acclaimed creator of MazeToons and author of A-MAZE-ING Animals, can’t wait to introduce everyone to his new book. It’s filled with mazes of mythological creatures, monsters, and more! Mazes are a great way to increase hand-eye coordination, bolster problem-solving skills, and sharpen critical reasoning. Plus, they’re just so much fun!

These 50 colorfully illustrated mazes feature fully solvable characters, cartoon elements, and imaginative creatures that figure prominently along every start-to-finish path. Themed, integrated animal illustrations—set within the mazes—are fun, playful, and perfect for big kids and grown-ups too.

–MORE–

Besides navigating the usual twists and turns of a traditional maze, puzzle-solvers will have to navigate through crazy cartoon features, Bigfoot’s giant feet, the Cyclops’ eye, a kraken’s wiggly tentacles, and more. There are dozens of dead ends, illusions, twists, and turns that ramp up with each difficulty level. Open the pages and get lost in this mythical world that’s scary good fun!
