I started drawing large scale mazes in grade school. My uncle would give me long connected piles of computer print out paper and I would draw mazes stretching for ten feet!

When I was a little older I had an exhibition at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. I created three maze murals for the exhibit including this dinosaur one below.oldjoe

Over the years I have create a few other maze murals with different themes.

For Pittsburgh’s First Night I created a Pittsburgh maze. I created a large birthday maze as a gift for a friend.

For some teacher friends I created a Mother Goose maze. It is still on display a decade later in the classroom in New Hampshire! The kids solve it during their breaks.

At StarKist headquarters in Pittsburgh I have a four foot by 6 foot maze of Charlie the Tuna and all his pals.

I created a 5 foot by 8 foot maze for Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum’s in the 1990’s. But by far my largest maze was my record setting 4 foot by 36 foot maze mural!

It garnered international attention. It features over 100 characters drawn into the maze itself. Including my buddy Charlie the Tuna. It’s a massive maze still waiting to be solved… are you up to the challenge?

Mazes are available for exhibition. Contact [email protected]
